🛠️ How to Re-Grip Your Clubs (The Easy Way)

Whether you're refreshing old grips or switching to a more comfortable size like our ParShark Midsize Grips, re-gripping your clubs is a surprisingly easy DIY job. Here's how to get it done properly using the ParShark Re-Grip Kit.

What You’ll Need:

  • ParShark Midsize Grips (or your preferred grip)
  • ParShark Re-Grip Kit, which includes:
    • Double-sided grip tape strips
    • Hook blade (safe for graphite shafts)
    • Vice clamp
  • Grip solvent (or mineral spirits as an alternative)
  • A towel or rag
  • (Optional but helpful): A bench vice

Step-by-Step Guide:
Step 1: Secure the Club
If you have a vice, place the club shaft in it using the ParShark vice clamp to protect the shaft. This helps keep the club steady and ensures the new grip is installed straight.

No Vice? No worries — you can still re-grip without one. Just brace the club securely against a wall or on a table, but be extra careful with alignment.

Step 2: Remove the Old Grip
Use the hook blade included in your kit to carefully cut off the old grip. Always cut away from your body.

Step 3: Peel Off Old Tape
Strip away any leftover grip tape. You can use a bit of solvent or heat (like a hairdryer) if the tape is sticky or stubborn.

Step 4: Apply New Grip Tape
Wrap one of the ParShark grip tape strips around the shaft, leaving a bit of overhang at the butt end. Twist and fold the overhang into the shaft opening to seal it.

Step 5: Add Solvent
Pour grip solvent into the new grip, cover the open end with your finger, and shake to coat the inside. Then pour the excess over the taped shaft to fully wet the tape.

Step 6: Slide on the New Grip
Quickly align and slide the grip onto the shaft in one smooth motion. Adjust the logo and grip orientation while it's still slippery — you’ll only have a few seconds.

Step 7: Let It Set
Wipe off any excess solvent. Let the club dry for 2–4 hours minimum — overnight is even better for best results.
